Songwriter Gail Silverman, aka G., Releases ‘The Womb’ Ahead of Mother’s Day

ByMarisa Torrieri Bloom April 30, 2026April 30, 2026

Florida singer-songwriter Gail Silverman, aka G., found inspiration for her latest single ‘The Womb’ in the most unlikely of places: The bathtub.

While immersed in the hot water, Silverman. found herself relaxing, then beginning to question why the bath created such a powerful emotional environment. She realized it may be because it mirrors the womb: warm, enveloping, safely cocooned, and surrounded by love. From that moment, the concept took shape, and she immediately grabbed her phone and began writing — good thing she didn’t drop it.

So how did that initial spark of wet inspiration turn into her latest single with songwriting partner Sharon Roach? Check out our interview with the artist.
