Tori Amos and Daughter Tash’s Protest Song ‘Stronger Together’ Offers Powerful Preview of New Album

Tori Amos is, once again, the beacon of light we need with ‘Stronger Together,’ her new single inspired by “dangerous times,” featuring support vocals from her daughter Tash. 

“In Times of Dragons is a story that parables the current dangerous times we are in – where democracy itself is on the line,” Tori said in a press release. “As I’m fleeing from the character that is my sadistic billionaire Lizard Demon husband, I came across people I had not been allowed to see in years, and they had not wanted to see me because of the relationship I found myself in. To avoid being captured and dragged back to the Lizard Demon’s penthouse, I run to the deep south of the US to throw him and his henchman off my trail. One of the many characters I meet on the journey is The Daughter. We spend time and sing together.”

At first listen, the song takes me back to my earliest memories of listening Tori Amos, the haunting tunes from ‘Little Earthquakes’ and ‘Boys for Pele.’ It’s simple, yet powerful, and is as much of a protest song as anything we’re hearing from Bruce Springsteen or Jesse Welles.

“‘Stronger Together’ is the culmination of our relationship as it is transformed with The Daughter choosing to stand by me no matter what challenges lay ahead,” Tori said. “Whatever we will face in the future, we make a vow to each other that we’re Stronger Together.”

To commemorate the release of In Times of Dragons, Amos will be heading out on tour this summer for 35 shows. 

The release of In Times of Dragons follows Amos’ debut children’s book, Tori and the Muses, and accompanying companion album, released in 2025.
