Diamond Rowe’s New Signature Jackson Guitar is To Die For
It’s so inspiring seeing women like Diamond Rowe slay metal guitar solos, as she does with her band Tetrarch. So when I heard the musician collaborated with Jackson Guitars on a signature model, I was ecstatic.
The co-founder and lead guitarist for the metal/hard rock band Tetrarch, which she started in high school, is known for her meaty solos and asymmetrical approach to playing. The guitar does not disappoint. Jackson Guitars’ Pro Series Signature Diamond Rowe DR12MG EVTN6, in dark rose (with an ebony fingerboard) features:
- Arched top Nyatoh body
- Maple cap and Poplar burl veneer
- 3-piece nyatoh neck with graphite reinforcement
- 12″ radius ebony fingerboard with 24 jumbo frets
- 25.5″ scale length
- Evertune® Bridge
- 24 Jumbo frets
- Luminlay side-dots
- 2 Volume controls
- 3-way toggle
- Jackson® branded locking style tuners
What’s more, as Guitar World observed, Rowe is now the first female in the history of Jackson with a signature guitar, and Jackson’s first African American female signature artist. In addition, she’s also the second Black female guitar hero to be honored with her very own signature model — and the very first in heavy music — following H.E.R.’s signature silver Fender Stratocaster.
